As the largest trade association in our great state, and in the nation, we cannot be quiet when there is work to be done. As Texas REALTORS®, we have long been the voice of real estate for our people. We fight to ensure that housing is affordable and that businesses are safe from unfair taxes. We advocate for the protection of private property owners and small businesses of every kind, not just our own. We have a vision for our association and for our communities, as we labor to improve living conditions for the less fortunate through food drives, fundraisers, or whatever helping hands we can offer.
These things we do, may not seem directly connected with day to day sales transactions. We do all of this because we are not just selling houses, but we are helping people find the place to call home.
We do this because it is the right thing to do. We do this because we are Texas REALTORS®. Our standard is greatness.
Do you have a vision for our board? Are there great projects that you would like to see us do? Maybe this is your time to consider running for a position on the board of directors. Volunteers are needed and the reward is tremendous!
Every June the call goes out requesting volunteers for the Nominating Committee, (the committee who proposes the upcoming leadership for all REALTOR® Members to vote on during the annual meeting) but you don’t have to wait until then. Contact your MBM Staff, Nicci Haynie and she’ll let us know that you are interested. Your board needs YOU!
